Last Saturday, I woke up early to join a pop-up Urban Yoga class on the terrace in one of greatest hotels of Rotterdam, Nhow. Nhow is located in the beautiful new building ‘De Rotterdam’, designed by Dutch architect OMA/Rem Koolhaas. I was really looking forward to do some yoga overlooking the skyline and the Erasmus bridge.
The Urban Yoga class was planned on the rooftop terrace of the very cool Nhow Bar (best hotel bar of Rotterdam 2014). Unfortunately when I left home it started to rain. Hoping it would stop raining soon, we were enjoying the view out of the Bar, but it didn’t stop. Luckily we could move to one of the conference rooms, which offered a great view as well.
Urban Yoga by Make a Move
The Urban Yoga was instructed by very enthusiastic Marie-Josee Groeneveld, from Make a Move. It was a Core Control workout to strengthen our abs and back, with a combination of yoga and pilates exercises. The session lived up to its promises, because as I am typing this blog, I am feeling some muscle pain. But of course no pain, no gain!
After the workout we were pampered in the Nhow Bar with fresh smoothies, fresh fruit, delicious macarons and a lovely goodie bag. What a great start of the day!
