Last Saturday during the Day of Achitecture, I went on a tour with Parfum De Boem Boem to see some (hidden) architectural treasures in Rotterdam. The tour started at Air with delicious coffee from Man Met Bril, a coffee brand from Rotterdam and some special flavoured stroopwafels (caramel waffles) from Stroop. After these treats we walked to some special none public places in Rotterdam.
For me the highlights of the tour where, visiting a penthouse on the 32nd floor in the skyscraper 100Hoog with a view everybody is dreaming of and the building of Erasmus University College housed in an historic building dating from 1923 (formerly the Museum of Education). Architect Erick van Egeraat designed the new accommodation for Erasmus University College. The original interior has been restored and combined with beautiful modern design.
At first going on a tour in my own city felt a little bit like being a tourist, but I really loved it!
